HHMI and SIRF Fellowship

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Medical Research Fellows Program, in partnership with the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation (SIRF), encourages medical students to apply for a year-long fellowship to conduct full-time preclinical research in interventional radiology at an academic or nonprofit institution in the U.S. The purpose of the collaboration between SIR Foundation and HHMI is to strengthen and expand the nation’s pool of physician-scientists in interventional radiology. In addition to the mentored research training experience, the HHMI-SIRF Medical Fellow will have the opportunity to take part in enrichment activities with the other Medical Fellows, interact with HHMI investigators at an HHMI science meeting, and be exposed to leading researchers in the field as well as other physician-scientists.

RSNA Research Medical Student Grant

Any area of research related to the radiologic sciences, from hypothesis-driven basic science and clinical investigations to topics such as drug, device, and therapy development; comparative effectiveness, evidence-based radiology, ethics and professionalism, quality improvement, clinical practice efficiency, and imaging informatics.
